Special Programs: It is our goal to assist potential buyers with getting the
horse they want at a reasonable price.  We understand that economic times are tough and
purchasing a  horse for your breeding program can be costly.  So, we offer several creative
programs to assist our clients in acquiring the horse of their choice with out breaking the
bank. Terms and restrictions apply, these are just the basics of each program.
Lease to Purchase Program on Stallions for Sale:  This option is for anyone who is fairly certain they want the
stallion for their breeding program and that they do plan to purchase the horse at the end of the lease period.
Certain sale stallions are eligible for year lease (12 months) to purchase agreements. There is no charge for leasing the
stallion for a year, however Leaser is responsible for:
  1. any vetting prior to pickup (Coggins, vaccination boosters and health certificate) necessary for shipping.
  2. for all shipping costs.
  3. daily care of stallion during lease (farrier, vet, boarding, feed, etc)
Shatormar Arabians maintains ownership of the stallion during the lease year.  During the year lease, stallion may be bred
to Leaser's mares and outside mares.  Leaser will split stud fee for outside mares with Shatormar Arabians during the lease
50/50
after any set up costs for standing at stud such as semen permit and AI training have been paid; any mare care or
other charges go to the Leaser only. Leased horse may be shown at Leaser's expense and any prizes/awards are the sole
property of the Leaser.
Based on the outcome of the lease the following apply:
If Purchased at the end of the Lease:
  • there are no stud fees due for Leaser's mares bred to the leased stallion.  Shatormar Arabians will provide all
paperwork necessary to register resulting foals at no charge once stallion is paid for in full.
  • all registration paperwork will be provided to buyer for the previously leased horse to be transferred to buyer as the
new owner once horse has been paid for in full.
If NOT purchased at the end of the Lease:
  • a stud fee charge of $250 per mare will be assessed for Leaser's mares bred to leased stallion.  Shatormar Arabians
will provide paperwork necessary to register resulting foals only after this stud fee per mare has been paid in full.
  • Leaser is responsible for the return of the leased horse to owner and all resulting costs of that return (vetting,
shipping, etc).  No paperwork will be released until leased horse has been returned to owner in good health.
